UltraCam Osprey digital photogrammetric camera system
A whole new breed of camera, the Microsoft UltraCam Osprey digital photogrammetric camera system combines a high performing photogrammetric nadir camera with oblique capture capability, offering a more versatile dataset than other oblique systems on the market today.
More than a standard photogrammetric camera, the UltraCam Osprey houses two cameras in one photogrammetric grade housing, using cutting edge technology with nadir and oblique wings, serving applications such as cadastre, infrastructure planning, DTMOrtho or DSMOrtho generation. Like all UltraCam systems, the UltraCam Osprey delivers subpixel accuracy, high dynamic range, and integrates all system components in the sensor head including the optional UltraNav direct georeferencing and flight management subsystem, as well as full UltraMap software support.
With best-in-class flight collection efficiency, the UltraCam Osprey is designed so that the full swath width of the nadir cone (11,674 pixel) can be used and wing image overlap is high enough to generate oblique orthos as well as textured DSMs. The UltraCam Osprey is the ideal sensor system for projects such as urban mapping and 3D city modeling.

Now you can buy our SL projector K11+ (which is part of our SLS-1 scanner package) separately. This projector is is just perfect for Structured Light scanning with DAVID!
Its unique feature is the huge focus range: We build in a special optics for focus distances from below 90mm to "infinity". This allows high-res scans of objects smaller than 50mm, but also scanning large objects is possible. We have seen no other projector that is able to project patterns fine enough for scanning even fingerprints in 3D!

The resolution of 858*600 is sufficient for high-detailed scans, especially with DAVID's intelligent sub-pixel accuracy algorithms. The projector has various inputs, so it can be connected to any desktop or laptop computer.
Also we have improved its tripod mount, so the projector can be reliably mounted on a (mobile) scanner platform.

Pros and cons of SL compared to Laser Scanning:
+ Scanning without calibration panels in the background!
+ Much faster
+ One-click scan
+ No moving parts / no influence of hand tremors etc.
- Projectors are still more expensive than lasers
- Room needs to be darker than required for laser
- Not suitable for very small objects
